It provides access to custom herbal compounding, clinical formulation consultation, and provider-to-provider collaboration — structured across three service pathways to accommodate different levels of practitioner involvement.
All preparations are compounded fresh to order using premium-grade botanicals. Every referral involving client consultation includes a structured written summary returned to the referring practitioner.

How are herb-drug interactions handled?
Every referral involving client consultation begins with a complete medication and supplement review. Our clinical herbalist screens each formulation against the client's full pharmaceutical profile before compounding. Written confirmation of this screening — and any adjustments made — is included in the summary returned to the referring practitioner.
Will Tendril market to or retain my clients?
No. The network functions as a compounding and consultation resource for your practice. We do not solicit, retain, or independently market to referred clients. The therapeutic relationship you have established with your client remains yours.
What communication do I receive after a referral?
After every client consultation, the referring practitioner receives a structured written summary: the formula, the clinical rationale, dosage instructions provided to the client, and any follow-up recommendations. This document is formatted for direct inclusion in the client's chart.
How much time does a referral require from me?
Pathway 1 (custom compounding) requires only a completed compounding order — no further involvement needed. For Pathway 2 referrals, the intake, research, and follow-up are handled by Tendril. The referring practitioner receives a written summary upon completion. Pathway 3 (provider-to-provider) is a direct clinician consultation scheduled at your convenience.

Laura Clemmons holds membership in the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (UK) and brings over 23 years of advanced clinical practice. Meryl Kastin is a graduate of the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine with over 40 years of compounding and wildcrafting experience. Together they represent more than 60 years of dedicated botanical study and clinical application.
What are the sourcing and quality standards for preparations?
All botanicals are sourced from vetted, premium suppliers. Every preparation is compounded fresh to order — not pre-bottled or shelf-stocked. Meryl Kastin oversees all compounding and has previously supplied commercial herb companies to the same standard of potency, purity, and efficacy.

The network is structured to accommodate different levels of practitioner involvement — from a straightforward compounding order to full clinical co-management of complex cases.
For practitioners who design their own formulas and need a skilled compounder to execute them using premium-grade botanicals. Submit a compounding order specifying herbs, ratios, preparation type, and dosage. Tendril compounds and dispenses to your client directly or to your practice.
Available to: Herbalists, NDs, and practitioners with botanical training who need a compounding partner.
Practitioners refer clients directly to Tendril for a herbal consultation. Our clinical herbalist conducts a full intake, designs a custom herbal protocol, and returns a structured written summary to the referring practitioner. Four tiers are available based on case complexity — expand each for details.
For straightforward, uncomplicated presentations — seasonal support, mild digestive complaints, basic immune protocols, common sleep issues — where a brief intake and targeted formulation is appropriate. Suitable for cases with no significant medication interactions and no complex health history.
Examples: Seasonal allergy support, mild insomnia, acute immune support, basic digestive complaints, blood pressure support.
Available to: Any licensed practitioner who wants herbal medicine available as part of a client's care plan.
For practitioners who want to remain the primary point of contact for their client and prefer direct clinical consultation with a specialist herbalist. Laura functions as a botanical specialist resource — reviewing the case, providing formulation recommendations, screening for interactions with existing treatments, and supporting clinical decision-making. The client is not seen by Tendril under this pathway.
Available to: MDs, NDs, PAs, DCs, and other licensed practitioners managing cases where botanical medicine is under consideration.

Client Relationships Remain Yours
Tendril does not solicit, retain, or independently market to any client referred through the network. Our relationship is with the referring practitioner. Referred clients are not enrolled in any Tendril marketing list without separate, explicit consent.
Written Summaries on Every Consultation
After every Pathway 2 or Pathway 3 consultation, the referring practitioner receives a structured written summary documenting the formula, clinical rationale, dosage instructions provided, and any follow-up recommendations. This document is formatted for chart inclusion.

All preparations are compounded fresh to order using premium-grade botanicals sourced from vetted suppliers. Meryl Kastin oversees all compounding. No pre-bottled or shelf-stocked formulas are dispensed under the network.
